HOW DO I BOOK MY FLIGHT?
Booking your flight with Black Diamond Aviation is super easy!

  • You can email your booking request to [email protected] (this is our preferred method for making a booking), or
  • You can call our Operations Team on 0428 514 643

When booking your flight, please have the following information ready:
  • Your details (including your organisations' name, organisations' address and your phone number)
  • The dates you wish to travel
  • Where you would like to travel to and your preferred departure times
  • How long you would like your plane and pilot to wait for your at your destination, or whether you just require a pick up or drop off of passengers and/or freight
  • The number of passengers that are travelling
  • The weight of each travelling passenger, and the weight of the luggage you will bring on board with you
  • If you are bringing Dangerous Goods with you - you must declare Dangerous Goods to us prior to your flight
  • Your purchase order number

WHEN CAN I BOOK MY FLIGHT?
Black Diamond Aviation is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For urgent and last minute bookings, please feel free to call us at any time. If you are booking a flight for a date in the future, please send through your booking request via email so we have your booking in writing.

WHAT DO I NEED TO CHECK IN FOR MY CHARTER?

You must check in at least 20minutes prior to departure from Gove Airport.
If you are departing from a community, you must be at the airstrip at least 15minutes prior departure time. Passengers that have bulky items or maximum freight, must check in 1 hour prior to departure.

You may be asked to produce satisfactory photographic identification to confirm your identity prior to being allowed to board your flight. The following are the only acceptable forms of photographic identification:
  • current and valid passport; or
  • motor vehicle driver’s license issued under a law of The Commonwealth of Australia or an Australian State or Territory
  • a document or card that identifies you and is issued by The Commonwealth of Australia or an Australian State or Territory
  • an Aviation security identification card issued by an aircraft or airport Operator.
If you are unable to produce satisfactory photographic identification on demand to any crew member, your Check-In may be refused.

HOW DO I ALTER MY BOOKING?
Where possible, we will work with you to alter your confirmed booking. Please understand we take multiple bookings everyday and at times we may not be able to change your booking. In these cases we ask for your flexibility.

For urgent and last minute changes, please feel free to call us at any time. If you wanting to change a booking that is booked for a future date, please send through your required changes via email so we have your new request in writing.

I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING - IS THERE A CHARGE?
We understand that from time to time your circumstances may change and as such, we don’t believe in large and unfair cancellation fees. Generally, if plenty of notice is given, there will not been a cancellation fee. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact our Operations Team on 0428 514 643. All cancellations must also be made in writing.

WHAT IS THE AVAILABLE PAYLOAD?
We have to carefully consider the weight and balance of our aircraft. To clarify your exact available payload, please contact our Operations Team as this dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to the type of aircraft, destination, airstrip and weather.

HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?
This largely depends on your available payload - please see above.
You can bring one or multiple pieces, however a single piece of luggage or freight cannot exceed 20kg. Prior arrangements must be made with Black Diamond Aviation for baggage or freight that exceeds 20kgs. 

CAN I FLY AT NIGHT?
Yes you can!
Black Diamond Aviation aircraft and pilots are IFR rated, offering you a year round all weather-24/7 service!

HOW MANY SEATS CAN I BOOK ON A CHARTER?
Our charters are closed charters, this means when you book with us, you book the full aircraft.
To view our fleet, please click here. Please remember to check the payload given, as this is often a more limiting than the number of seats on board.

CAN I BOOK A "FREIGHT ONLY' CHARTER?
Yes you can!
We regularly move freight around the Northern Territory and interstate. Please contact our Operations Team to discuss your freight only requirements.

DO YOU TRANSPORT DANGEROUS GOODS?
Yes we do! 
If you are bringing Dangerous Goods on your charter, you must declare it and give us a minimum of 24hours prior notice!

HOW DO I PACK MY DANGEROUS GOODS?
There are strict rules about how Dangerous Goods need to be packed and stored while they are being transported. Black Diamond Aviation strictly package Dangerous Goods in accordance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Due to safety reasons, you can not bring the following items on board in either your check-in or carry-on luggage - even if you declare them to us.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CHARTER?
You are required to pay for your flight prior to departure. You may be requested to provide a credit card at time of booking.
Black Diamond Aviation accepts the following major credit cards: Mastercard and Visa (1.5% surcharge).
We also accept cash, basics cards and EFT.

DO I NEED A PERMIT TO TRAVEL AROUND IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY?
You may require a permit to visit certain communities in the Northern Territory.
When you are visiting Arnhem Land, please contact Northern Land Council, and when you are visiting the Tiwi Islands, you will need to contact the Tiwi Land Council
