Search and Rescue Missions

Black Diamond Aviation provides a dedicated fixed-wing Search and Rescue service to Arnhemland region.

Our 24hour, 7 day a week service allows us to respond within 30minutes from the SAR alert call, during our day shift. Our night standby response times are 60 minutes from the SAR alert call.

Black Diamond Aviation works closely with Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) in Search and Rescue operations, these include:
  • locating activated distress beacons
  • locating vessels and people at sea
  • inland waterways and port searches
  • land searches
  • missing aircraft​​
  • providing communication support at an incident site
