AT THE AIRPORT:
As part of our Travel Well Program, we have introduced a number of key measures to limit the contact that you may have with others as you check in, deliver and/or pick up freight, and proceed to your departure gate. These include:
- All of our employees have received notification of the COVID-19 pandemic and have been given information on the symptoms of COVID-19, the transmission methods and self-isolation requirements.
- All of our staff and aircrew have completed the COVID-19 infection control training, provided by the Australian Department of Health and their training partner Aspen Medical.
- Air crew have been trained to ask each passenger at check-in if they have travelled internationally in the past 14 days, and if they have recently experienced any COVID-19 symptoms. Our aircrew have been instructed to refuse travel to those who cannot prove a 14-day isolation period after travelling overseas, and to refuse travel to anyone who have any COVID-19 symptoms.
- We strongly encourage contactless check-in by asking passengers to stand on the 1.5m physically distance markers we have on our Gove Airport Terminal floor.
- We ask all passengers to ensure physical distancing is applied throughout our Gove Airport Terminal, at all community/homeland airstrips, and when walking toward our aircraft.
- We strongly encourage passengers to self-weigh their luggage, and we ask that passengers board our aircraft with their hand luggage instead of giving them to the pilot to load into the aircraft.
- To ensure we continue to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19, we ask that freight deliveries and freight pick-ups at our Gove Airport office is delivered to/picked up at our check-in counter at a prearranged time. This will be at a time when no flights are taking place to limit interaction with other passengers. We kindly ask that people delivering or receiving freight keep a 1.5m physical distance from our air crew at all time.
- Black Diamond Aviation will continue to carry freight and mail to-and-from remote communities and homelands. To minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19, community residents MUST NOT approach the aircraft or pilot. Instead, we ask that the community nominate one person to receive freight, and to keep a 1.5m physical distance from our air crew at all time.
- We are regularly cleaning highly frequented areas at our Gove Airport Terminal.

- Social distanced seating is available in our waiting room at Gove Airport. We have increased our signage to remind passengers to physically distance themselves from others while waiting in our waiting room.
